OK. There was nothing in the plugins, BUT, I deleted the only library I had and moved it to another location. When I launched FCPX again, I got the splash screen, where upon I was asked to upgrade my old libraries because as of FCXP 10.1, all projects and effects are stored in a library. I have posted this problem in Apple discussions, and despite numerous views, there has not been even one reply. I hope that someone here can shed some light on my problem. In Motion 5, I opened a Motion 4 title that I had created. Clicked the Play button and everything looked and worked fine. Then went to the menu File/Publish Template. Can STP Send *Host* Time Code to Antares Auto-Tune? - 12 years ago
I am trying to work through the Auto-Tune 6 EVO Demo and I have figured out mostly how to use it. The one stumbling block I have come across is that I can not figure out how to get Auto-Tune to see the Host time-code. If I set the Source setting to Host, AT does not Track the audio. All assetts imported into DVDSP must conform to the project standard of either PAL or NTSC. You can approach this in two ways: Go to and use the FCP plug-in to convert your PAL video to NTSC. Use Cimema Tools to retime the 25fps PAL to 23.98 fps, and then use Compressor to reformat the PAL video to NTSC 23.98fps. I have a customer that wants a DVD that will play several instructional videos and after each video jump to a Q & A. That part is easy enough. The trick is: he also wants to track of number of right and wrong responses during the Q & A. My thought is to use GPRM registers to keep a tally. Also note, that when the audio tracks are no longer paired together, the "underline" under the file name will disappear. Then when you double click either of the tracks, you will see only one track in the viewer window. Then adjust the pan to make sure it has a value of "0" (zero) so that the audio will come out of both left and right channels.by Gary Sumlak - Café LA

I just finished a project which required up-ressing anamorphic SD video to HD 1920x1080i (square pixel). We delivered the project as a self-contained Apple ProRes 422 (HQ) mov to the transfer house for transfer to HDCAM, but they tell us that the video is "lower field first" where they would normally expect "upper field first" for HD output. OK, after several weeks of the chapter image corruption issue getting worse by the day (it got to the point that ALL images being use got reduced to 25x25 pixels), I finally resolved to a complete uninstall of STP. After some research, I found a recommendation for FCS Remover, which allows uninstalling a single app and any/all of its components or the entire suite. OK - Got It Figured Out!!! Woo Hoo!! I am able to do exactly what I want in Compressor... go figure!! 1. Select "AAC for Audio Podcast" preset. 2. Aside for the anomalous 53x43 scaling, the lack of documentation was what frustrated me the most - one stating image must be constrained to 533 x 400 would have eliminated two days of frustration completely. I am trying to create an audio podcast in STP2 with HD resolution Marker Images. I add an image for the Marker by selecting "Image Source Other" and select a 2444x1583 jpeg image. The image shows up in the preview box and it looks good. HD Stop Frame Capture Advice Needed - 14 years ago
I am currently capturing a lot of old film stock (8mm/Super8, 16 mm) using CaptureMate software. However, Capturemate only supports SD resolution and I would like to capture the film in HD. Would anyone have a suggestion for similar software that would support HDV. Quicktime will capture an HDV video stream just fine, but there is no facility in QT for stop frame. If you are converting 23.98 to 29.97, you are probably experiencing pulldown. In order to create the extra frame, two frames are being blended together to create the needed extra 5th frame for every four frames for video. Since FCP does not show interlace, you will not see the pull down in edit. However, you should easily see the interlaced frames in Quicktime (or a broadcast monitor/TV)by Gary Sumlak - DVD Studio Pro

Use a slide show track for each song. Put in a single image and set the display time to the length of the audio. You will literally use next to zero extra space for the poster image. Slide shows are not actually videos but are freeze frames.... unless you add a transition, then the transition is rendered as a video, but the static image is still a freeze frame. In the Outline tab, find the track and click on it. Then in the Connections tab window, you will have two columns: Source and Target. Make sure the Connections window is set to "View: Standard: All". Marker pointers in DVDSP can sometimes get messed up and CAN NOT be repaired. The only thing you can do is delete the slide show track and create a new slide show track. Since it only takes a couple seconds to recreate the slide show track, it really is not worth your time to try and fix a bad marker. Taby Gary Sumlak - DVD Studio Pro

You could put each version of the audio (which should all be exactly the same length), into a different "Language" audio track, then use a script to play a different language track on each pass through... I have a project for which I have added a CC .scc file to the main track. However, when I test the DVD Build, the captions are displayed EXACTLY one hour off. The original video, exported from FCP, has a start time code of 1:00:00;00, as does the .scc file. However, DVDSP's track time code starts at 00.00.00;00. I have the Nattress plug-in and I am familiar with Compressor's ability to transcode, but both are rather time intensive.
