Transitions - 18 years agoIs there anyway to control the speed of transitions or do you have to accept the way they are?by spaceman - Café LA Re: TimeLine Dissappeared - 18 years agoWant to explain that again? What's always been that way?by spaceman - Café LA Re: TimeLine Dissappeared - 18 years agoOk, Tried cmd3 .. nothing happand. After a brief panic .. I double clicked on sequence 1 in the browser and like magic, it reappeared.. So panic is over even though I can't figure out what happand and why double clicking on the sequence made it reappear. Thanksby spaceman - Café LA TimeLine Dissappeared - 18 years agoWas in the middle of a project, saving as I went a long and out of the blue the timeline dissapeared. When I reopen the saved project it gives me a MUCH earlier time line. Wher is the correct TL? anyone?by spaceman - Café LA Re: Annamation codec - 18 years agoHey guy's, Thanks that's a great thing to know.by spaceman - Café LA Re: turning off border - 18 years agoAlso check the scale (size in the canvas), your cips may be a bit small to fill the entire frame so you need to scale them up a bit.by spaceman - Café LA Annamation codec - 18 years agoAny one know the difference between "millons of colors" and "millons of colors+" in the settings for Annamation of theQuickTime conversion menu? Thanksby spaceman - Café LA Re: turning off border - 18 years agoCheck in the "Filters" menu on the top of the viewer and make sure you don't have borders set up. If so, uncheck it for each clip.by spaceman - Café LA Re: Render - 18 years agoWell, as you'd have it, you were correct. when comparing the columes there were some Annamation codec's and the rest were dv/dvcpro. when I put the sequence (dv/dvcpro) on the same time line as another dv/dvcpro, LOW and behold, NO ORANGE render line, even when adding some effects to it. You nailed it and I learned a valuable time saver. I thank you. I wonder if you've got one more answer to gby spaceman - Café LA Re: Render - 18 years agoGot it and will do now.. Could not find that info anywhere.by spaceman - Café LA Re: Render - 18 years agoYep Captured them. I will try your suggetion but first I'm trying to search all over the place including Apples site to ID the prefs that can be removed and where they are that may be different from 4.5by spaceman - Café LA Re: Render - 18 years agoYes ... No change ... Orange line any time I do anything to any clip evan as little as moving it after a render of changing opacity, up comes the Orange line. This is no better then 4.5 as just to test something a simple as Opacity settings requires rerendering. Well the only thing I didn't do is toss prefs, but that's the next thing I'll try. I installed 5.0 studio and all of their updby spaceman - Café LA Re: Render - 18 years agoOk Sequence and clip settings match PRECISELY. Not sure which are the correct pref's. to toss with 5.0, I know 4.5 but these seem to be different. A.F.by spaceman - Café LA Re: Render - 18 years agoNick, Thank you for the responce. Here are all setttings; Codec of all clips are "DV/DVCPRO" FR at 29.9 used in tl. And in the (project) setup it's set at "DV NTSC 48". There is no setup choice for DV/DVPRO except for HD choices. In the Sequence menu, under settings, it's setting are; under quicktime compressor "DV/DVCPRO", with FR at 29.9 . Same place buby spaceman - Café LA Render - 18 years agoAnybody know why when I add clips to the time line, an orange bar appears in top of TL (render area) and wants to be rendered with "Unlimited". If I don't render it plays back but chopy. Unlimited RT is check as well as all the Dymamics in the "RT" pull down menu. Thanksby spaceman - Café LA New Compressions - 18 years agoOk, Can't find any clear literature for this one so some of you most likely can unravel this. In compressor they've come up with new names as well as in QuickTime 7.0.1 just when I mastered Compressor 1 and QuickTime 6.5. Oh how they like to confuse Going to DVD...(DVDSP4) what are the differences between: Compressor 2, 1) Animation 2) DVD Best Quality 90 min 4:3 3) MPEG-2 90 min high qualityby spaceman - Café LA Re: Where is AC3 in Compressor2? - 18 years agoThank you for your help, Apack is no longer part of FCP v5 or DVDSP v4. Its supposed to be built into Compressor2.by spaceman - Café LA Where is AC3 in Compressor2? - 18 years agoCan not find AC3 codec in the new Compressor 2. Anyone open the secret for me? Want to go from FCP5 to Compressor2 to DVDSP4. Need m2v(video) and AC3(audio). Cant find the codec in compressor2. Thanks Post Edited (06-18-05 09:20)by spaceman - Café LA Re: Help fcp 5 Drop Frames - 18 years agoAdditionally, I turn off the drop frame message box (don't show again), it works to a degree. When the sequence is in the viewer, it doesn't play (or make changes) in the canvas... When it in the TL, the times I can select different angles in the viewer when it's finished with the sequence, the edits or changes are in the timeline (all edited). I thought you are suppose to be able to make angby spaceman - Café LA Re: Help fcp 5 Drop Frames - 18 years agoThese are DV small test clips (QT Mov files) not exceeding 10mgs each ... I've tried 4 angles Same issue... Tried all the RT settings with all combo's with the same results. Tried moving the clips to the other internal SATA drive where the OS and FCP 5 does not reside. same problem. Also trashed the prefs, did a safe boot, re-built permissions so many times I lost count. same problem... The G-by spaceman - Café LA Re: Help fcp 5 Drop Frames - 18 years agoThis evan occurs when I move the folder containing those few clips to the other SATA. I've also had it happan with just playthrough, no multiclip. Never happend in 4.5, with the same system, set up etc.by spaceman - Café LA Help fcp 5 Drop Frames - 18 years agoAfter creating a multiclip, then inserting angles in the viewer (9) when I play from TL get the dreaded message (that i've not seen in FCPhd 4.5), "Dropped Frames" I did all that it instructed. Turn off Unlimited RT Lowered Compression rate closed open sequences (no other sequences to close) Lowered pref for RT Audio (even though no Audio) Can't figure out whats going on here. We all have opinions and come from different experiences. But what's wrong here is putting this discussion on this great board and for that, I'm sorry. Mike H. you certainly have my blessings if you remove it before it get crazy. Thanks all.by spaceman - Café LA Re: Hey Mike (LAFCPUG news letter) - 18 years agoSorry, Gates was on the board but is not now, however he is a MAJOR stockholder with influence. You don't have to agree with me, it's just my opinion. This discussion really doesn't belong on this great board, but the mention of an "tel anything in the Mac world gets my blood boiling. This discussion should be elseware.by spaceman - Café LA Re: Hey Mike (LAFCPUG news letter) - 18 years agoAndy, You make a lot of good points. I certinley hope your correct, we'll just have to wait and see. I'm just not as optomistic as you are here. Any time I here any kind of a "tel system I run like heck. But your points are well takenby spaceman - Café LA |
