I think people are stunned, and don't know how to react.by Adam Duplay - Café LA - X Quiet Regarding FCPX - 12 years agoThis forum has been surprisingly quiet regarding FCPX. Is everyone afraid of jumping to conclusions? Speechless? Clearly, this has dramatically affected those of us who are still finishing broadcast work, ingesting and delivering on RS422 controlled tape decks... a method that might now be referred to as the "old fashioned way." For :30 spots, it is clearly quite practical to upload a finished quicktime movie. But it doesn't seem so practical for a 23 or 47 minute HD show. Do you upload 75GB? Send it to Tape! - 14 years agoIf you run 720x486 video through a process (like compressing for DVD) that is expecting 720x480 source material instead of 720x486, the frames will become reversed and you will see interlacing artifacts. Try it yourself if you don't believe me. Also, if you edit 480 material into a 486 timeline, FCP automatically sets the center point to 0,1 to account for this difference. Of course my software is legal, and actually the PID is not in refrence to Unix or my OS.
