Re: FCS 5.1 Xgrade - 17 years agoJust run it and follow it's lead it's dead simple. I just did it yesterday. Then all you need to do is run software update to get up to date. BTW I got my disks in about a week and a half.by Dean - Café LA Re: Desktop speakers recommendation needed. - 17 years agoI have a M-Audio Firewire Solo into a pair of M-Audio BX5 powered speaker system. I like powered speakers and these are very flat and sound great without any color from a amplifier. I also have my system set to route audio through a amplifier into some teac speakers to see how the sound sounds through a typical system. The thing is your going to get a Time Machine with that, do you know what the street price for a Time Machine is these days on it's own? I think 10.1 Puma came out 5 years ago yesterday.by Dean - Café LA Re: Gtech drives 250 vs 500??? - 17 years agoWith the new Mac Pro's you can put more drives inside the machine up to 4 SATA so you may not need any externals and they can have 2 optical drives. They are the first models which scare people and there may be some issues I have a G3 that was a first revision and still runs today and I ran Final Cut 1 on it. So you may not have any problems at all.
