Here is a really bad example, but close enough to, of what the result of the effect of the "plug-in" i am referring to?by James T - Café LA Dailies window burn plugin - 16 years agoHey guys, A few months ago I saw a plug-in for FCP, where it will put a lower third display of the scene, shot and take...etc for daily and rough assembly screenings. Has anyone else seen this or know where to find this plug-in? I thought it was made the guys a digital heaven but i cant seem to find it anywhere. thanks again J-by James T - Café LA DVcam 24 vs 29.97 - 16 years agoHey Guys. So we are starting our Feature project on 35mm 3-perf, telecine to DVcam. We are ultimitly going to a DI with Film out. We would like to never see a a pulldown conversion until dvd distro. However I was informed that Dv cam can not run at 24 it'll run at 29.97 and will require a pulldown in cinematools, is this correct?by James T - Café LA Re: Converting pal to ntsc using compressor2 - 16 years agoyou have to change the frame controls to custom...then you can change your frame rate to 29.97. jude gave a great post on this issue a while ago... ...i suggest searching for it. good luckby James T - Café LA ?F - 17 years agoapple F - will allow you to search for clip names... Is there a way to search for log notes? I am editing a doc with too many similar clip names. The log notes were a great way to distinguish between the "type" of shots. I don't know if this is possible but would be great if it were. thanks again, J-by James T - Café LA Re: weird codec ?? - 17 years agocheck this out: you will notice that it refers to a capture card.... never seen this myself but i guess it exist.by James T - Café LA Re: HD ONLINE IN NYC? - 17 years agoyou can also check out.... www.NY411.com J-by James T - Café LA Re: I think i'm in trouble oops - 17 years agoThanks Shane... Thanks again, Jby James T - Café LA Re: I think i'm in trouble oops - 17 years agoAssuming that the above reply will work Instead of re-loging all of my footage, I can make those clips offline and and re-batch capture the tapes through the Kona2 card, since they are logged by reels(tapes). That should save time, no? Let me know what you think. thanks again, J-by James T - Café LA Re: I think i'm in trouble oops - 17 years agoRight now I have a Kona 2 and a DV deck with SDI. that should work, right? ugh, thats so much footage to recapture. what should the capture settings be. Kona2 DVCPRO HD 720p60? (that will match my Varicam) thanks again Jby James T - Café LA Re: I think i'm in trouble oops - 17 years agoThanks Shane, However, this is for a feature length doc, and all the rendering clip for clip, is going to eat a lot of time. What is the best way to get the DVX (29.97) footage to 23.98? I'm about 90% sure this was shot with the intention of being 23.98. Is there a way to do the advanced pulldown after capture? thanks again, Jby James T - Café LA I think i'm in trouble oops - 17 years agohey guys, I have this footage shot on both the DVX and the Varicam. The DVX is 720x480. (i think this footage was shot 24p, but I don't believe i did the advance pulldown during capture). So it is in the system at 29.97. But I do not even know if there was even an advanced pulldown done in camera. The Varicam is is 960x780 24p (DVCPRO HD 720p60) I have mixed frame rates. Sorry Doc, but you will almost every time loose quality when burning to a standard def. DVD. an Mpeg2 compression is somewhere in the realm of DVcam color space and a resolution of 720x480, which in your case is fare less then the pixel resolution of your data. J-by James T - DVD Studio Pro Re: Need Boxes that play video. - 17 years agoThis is something that would require aftereffects. make your tv screens transparent in photoshop. bring the psd into AE and place the video clips under the original artwork.
