I just heard - and maybe y'all already are in the know - that apple will be coming out with a card to slot into the side of the macbook pro 15" that will have a FW800 connection! It was initially saved in .txt, when I exported from the pc 844X system... Should I "redo" the extension, or add another .txt to the existing one? Perplexed in NY, Marlaby Marla Mitchnick - Café LA

Hi gang- I am grabbing an edl from a PC based edit system (844X) and trying to import it into FCP. It's CMX3600. When over on my mac, in the import edl browser window, the files are greyed out. I tried changing the extension to .edl, but it still says "type: plain text document." My FCP crashed out when I deselected "show files of type: edl, and chose files of "all-types&quby Marla Mitchnick - Café LA
