Re: for the life of me, i cant find an option for AC3!?!??! - 16 years agoTo my knowledge AC-3 can only be created by Compressor (or A-Pack if you are on an older system) and not by DvDspro. If you created your video in fcp you can also launch compressor from there.by chris.proesmans - DVD Studio Pro Re: creating an estimate for subtitle job - 16 years agoI would use a specialized company and certainly no computarized translations. You would get enormous revisions by your client. for your budget: As a rule you could say max 15 subtitles a minute. A fee for translation should be around +/- 3-4 ? per subtile. (depending on the languages) An extra cost of about 250 - 500 euros for mastering a subtitle file and or Digi Beta (12 min) sby chris.proesmans - DVD Studio Pro Re: FCP markers won't show ind DVSP - 16 years agoDid you really put chapter markers or basic markers used for editing?by chris.proesmans - DVD Studio Pro Re: Strobing or flickering problem - 16 years agoFlickering on a tv and not on a computer monitor suggests a interlace problem. In final cut in your sequence settings set field dominance to none. For the export using compressor, set field dominance to none or progressive. Add three stories to your track link the play all button to the track and the chapter buttons to the stories. now set the end jump of the stories and track to your menu. grts, Chrisby chris.proesmans - DVD Studio Pro Re: randomizer for DVD studio pro - 16 years agofollowing link might put you on the right track: According to my knowledge there's a 100 track limitation in the dvd-specs. grtsby chris.proesmans - DVD Studio Pro Re: a media manager workflow question... - 16 years agoWhat I would do is create a project, drag in your 12 timelines, create on off-line project using mediamanager and redigitize that project on the required settings.by chris.proesmans - Café LA Re: OMF FILE - 16 years agoIf you are going to fe. pro tools, Another solution might be deviding your tracks over different omf files. tr 1 - 4 to omf 1 tr 5 - 8 to omf 2by chris.proesmans - Café LA Re: intractive scripting - 17 years agoHere's a tutorial by David Nagel that ought to help you: . G'luckby chris.proesmans - DVD Studio Pro Re: Level Discrepency DVDSP to the DVD - 17 years agoTo me your workflow seems ok. Try with a commercial feature film DvD to check your levels. More then probaly it will go to loud as well. I know this won't solve your problem but you'll know for sure if it's a decoder/playback problem. Grtz, Chrisby chris.proesmans - DVD Studio Pro Re: Copyright Management function - does it work? - 17 years agoTry to have faith in the end users you aim to sell your disc to. Any existing copyright can be "worked around" or cracked. I wouldn't invest effort, nor the money into CSS Macrovision or FCC Goodluck with your film.by chris.proesmans - DVD Studio Pro Re: Burning DVD - 17 years ago130 copies, I would consider outsourcing the job.by chris.proesmans - DVD Studio Pro Re: what does this error mean? - 17 years agoYou' ve got the main window, left there is a culomn with a basic - advanced tab. Select advanced; now you see a DVD Rom UDF option. Select that, drag your Audio & Video_ts folder in the main window; hit burn and that's it Let me know if this works for you?by chris.proesmans - DVD Studio Pro Re: what does this error mean? - 17 years agoIf you already got your build folder with Audio & Video_TS folder you should use Data DvD with UDF selected in toast.by chris.proesmans - DVD Studio Pro Re: Burning DVD - 17 years agoToast is a software for burning CD & DvDby chris.proesmans - DVD Studio Pro Re: Size Of Lead-In And Lead-Out On A DVD-5 - 17 years agoMaybe you'll find an answer here.by chris.proesmans - DVD Studio Pro Re: Continous title over picture? - 17 years agoAs far as I know you can't keep subtitles while FFWd or REW What could work is if you create diffrent tracks with diffrent titles. You need to have extra space on your disc of course to be able to do this. An extra advantage is that the gfx will look much better.by chris.proesmans - DVD Studio Pro Re: Burning DVD - 17 years agoTry doing a build instead of a burn. Create a new folder, on your back up drive and use this as destination for the build. Once finished, you drag your new folder into toast and burn from there. btw have you checked your project size?by chris.proesmans - DVD Studio Pro Re: Looping dvd - 17 years agoThe function you are looking for is called end jump. You created a track (fe track 1), set its end jump to itself being track 1. If your video is really short, I suggest you put it a few times on the the timeline. This will result in faster end - start jumps. Grtz, Chrisby chris.proesmans - DVD Studio Pro Re: Buffer underrun error - 17 years agoDo you make a build of your DvD? I think thats better than burning from DvDSP. In toast there is a setting enablin Buffer Underrun Prevention. Try turning this on. Another possible cause of your problem might be your media doesn't support the writing speed of your recorder. Didn't have any problems using subtitles in DvDSp yet. Hope this helps.by chris.proesmans - DVD Studio Pro Re: Menu clarity - 17 years agoThe difference between 720 and 768 x 576 Pal has to do with pixel aspect ratios. If you use a D1 pal template in Photoshop, it will show pixelaspect corrected on the canvas. so in that case 720 is ok. If you create a custom setting new document standard photoshop will use sqaure pixels, so in that case you'll have to use 768. Both ways will work fine, I tend to prefer the Photoshop Templates D1.by chris.proesmans - DVD Studio Pro Re: Menu clarity - 17 years agoI create all my still menus in Photoshop. What size-format is your document? RGB and canvas size in D1-Pal (or NTSC) is a perfect starting point. What is do is exporting 2 Tiffs for use in DvDSP 1 with the BKG and 1 with the overlay file in B/W In my experience this gives better results than importing Photoshopfiles in DvDSP. So your videoclip would f.e. last 1 min with only the first few seconds motion.by chris.proesmans - DVD Studio Pro Re: Menus not building/burning correctly - 18 years agoIf you insert the DvD in Your apple you get a diffrent menu than in a set-top player?
